All images were shot on 4X5 Chrome sheets.

All photographs are Digital C-prints.

Though Photoshop was used to make these images, it was used primarily for traditional photographic purposes; Dodging, burning, color control and consistency from print to print. I saw it as a tool to translate the original 4X5 chrome as accurately as possible to the page.

All the coins appear as I found them. I did not tamper with them after finding them or in Photoshop.

This series was originally shot on 4X5 Chrome sheet film. The idea was to make high detail Cibachrome prints with no digital processing at all. During the testing stage of printing, Ilford stopped making Cibachrome paper and I was forced to look for an alternative. Digital C-print has become the most viable alternative for printing when your original is a chrome.
